This destination sits in the heart of the Nebraska sandhills in the central part of the state.  With 80,000 + acres of prime deer habitat, this venue has a long history of producing trophy class animals. Hunts are conducted spot & stalk style with the use of good quality optics picking apart this vast rolling countryside and river bottoms in search of a good mature trophy.  Primarily a trophy Mule deer destination, a hunter could stumble into a trophy whitetail buck also while afield.  Nebraska rifle deer tags are purchased over the counter and are valid for any antlered deer, giving the hunter the opportunity to capitalize on the encounter of either a trophy Mule deer or whitetail buck.

Transportation

Guests can fly into either North Platte, NE (1.2 hour) or Grand Island, NE (2.5 hour), rent vehicle and drive to the lodge (exact directions to the lodge will be supplied at the time of booking.

There is also an airstrip at the lodge to accommodate private travelers.

Hunt Style

Physical Level:

Easy: Farm or ranch hunts from stands or blinds. Substantial use of 4x4 pickups, UTVs. Most whitetail deer hunts.

Moderate: These hunts are mostly conducted on private ranches. Species include mule deer, elk, antelope, some caribou and African plains game hunts. Moderate to light hiking each day in semi-mountainous terrain.

Difficult: These hunts are a true wilderness experience and are usually conducted on horseback, hunting species such as elk, moose, bear, some mountain lion and African Cape buffalo. Difficult to extreme hiking and backpacking can be involved.

Extreme: All sheep hunts, goat, most grizzly and brown bear, some mountain lion and elephant. The terrain and/or animals can involve some dangerous situations. These hunts will probably require extreme physical endurance and some athletic ability.
