Located in SE Arizona, this premium destination offers clients the rarity of matching world-class accommodations with world-class wing shooting! This 50,000 acre property is home to the Arizona quail slam, which is made up of the Mearns, Gambel’s and Scaled quail!  Through strict conservation efforts, the property has been restored to create one of the finest wing shooting opportunities for wild quail in the lower 48!  The work done on key habitats has been achieved though the construction of thousands of small rock dams, berms, and gabions in eroded areas. The landowner has also worked to remove exotic species, aerate soils, apply seeding and manage grasslands through controlled burns and rotational grazing. Up to date, more than 4,000 acres of grasslands have been aerated and reseeded, at least 15% of historic wetlands have been restored and 8 miles of rivers are now flowing year round. Restoring habitat has been key to bring back native wildlife populations of Coues deers, Black bears, Gould’s turkeys and possibly the strongest population of all native Arizona quail species.  This unique venue is hunted 8 times per year and slots are limited to 6 Hunters or an intact party of eight. Hunts are conducted on a 2 hunters per 1 guide ratio and we do not mix parties. Hunters can expect to have a shot at harvesting the coveted Arizona Quail Slam quite easily during a three day hunt.  Furthermore due to the intensive Arizona Quail Habitat restoration practices that have taken place, Wild Arizona Quail species do not fluctuate as much as compared to areas or properties where there has been little or no Quail Habitat Restoration or management. This is truly a “sporting classic” that is a must for the passionate traveler.  Call WTA for further information and to reserve your spot today!
